Smt. Rajarajeshwari Bhat hails from a family of musicians. Her initial training was from her mother Smt. Krishnaveni and from Sri Madhur Balasubramanyam. She then developed her interest under the guidance of her brother and violinist Sri Vittal Ramamurthy. Performing artists Sri Sethalapathy Balasubramanian, Sri Neyveli Santhanagopalan and Sangita Kalacharya Chengalpet Sri Ranganathan have also guided her. She holds a Vidwat degree (equivalent to MA) in Music from Karnataka government.
Smt. Rajarajeshwari Bhat is a graded All India Radio artiste. She has performed regularly on Radio, Doordarshan TV and in various sabhas all over India and USA. ). She has performed for fund-raising efforts for charity organizations and festivals. At Houston (TX), she has been serving the community in music education by teaming with Swaralayam Arts Forum . She has many recordings to her credit. Smt. Bhat has received raving reviews in Indian news papers for her performances.
