Manoj Siva
Son of Sri A.N.Siva, a great lover of carnatic music and Smt. Akhila siva, a gold medalist from Carnatic music college, Chennai, Sri.Manoj siva was born on 26th February, 1972.
Shri. Manoj Siva had his initial training in mrudangam under stalwart musicians like Kumbakonam Sri. rajappa Iyer and Srirangarajapuram Sri. Jayaraman from age four. Later, Sri.Manoj siva also received advanced training from Padmasri. Palghat Raghu since June 1992.
Prizes and awards:
Gold medal for mrudangam playing by Y.M.C.A, Chennai at the age of seven.
Has won the first prize for mrudangam accompaniment in concert from institutions like The Music academy, Sri. Krishna gana sabha, and YACM.
Vellore gopalachari award for mrudangam accompaniment by The Music academy in the year 2001.
Awarded the title “Yuva Kala Bharathi” by the Bharath kalachar, Chennai in the year 2002.
Was one of the first recipients of “Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puraskar” awarded by the Central Sangeeth Natak Academy for the year 2006.
